【摘要】:Thepourpointofapetroleumproductisanindexofthelowesttemperatureofitsutilityforcertainapplications.Flowcharacteristics,suchaspourpoint,canbecriticalforthecorrectoperationoflubricatingsystems,fuelsystems,andpipelineoperations.Petroleumblendingoperationsrequireprecisemeasurementofthepourpoint.Thistestmethodcandeterminethetemperatureofthetestspecimenwitharesolutionof0.1x00B0;Catwhicheithercrystalshaveformedorviscosityincreasessufficientlytoimpedemovementofthepetroleumproduct.ThistestmethodyieldsapourpointinaformatsimilartoTestMethodD97/IP15whenthe3x00B0;Cintervalresultsarereported.Note28212;SincesomeusersmaywishtoreporttheirresultsinaformatsimilartoTestMethodD97(in3x00B0;Cintervals)theprecisionswerederivedforthetemperaturesroundedtothe3x00B0;Cintervals.ForstatementsonbiasrelativetoTestMethodD97,see13.3.ThistestmethodhasbetterrepeatabilityandcomparablereproducibilityrelativetoTestMethodD97asmeasuredinthe1992interlaboratoryprogram.51.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofpourpointofpetroleumproductsbyanautomaticinstrumentthatcontinuouslyrotatesthetestspecimenagainstasuspendeddetectiondeviceduringcoolingofthetestspecimen.1.2Thistestmethodisdesignedtocovertherangeoftemperaturesfrom-57to+51176;C;however,therangeoftemperaturesincludedinthe1992interlaboratoryprogramonlycoveredthetemperaturerangeof-39to+6176;C(see13.4).1.3Thistestmethoddeterminestheno-flowpointofpetroleumproductsbydetectionofthecrystalstructureorviscosityincrease,orboth,inthesamplethatissufficienttoimpedeflowofthespecimen.1.4Thistestmethodisnotintendedforusewithcrudeoils.Note18212;Theapplicabilityofthistestmethodonresidualfuelsampleshasnotbeenverified.Forfurtherinformationonapplicability,referto.1.5Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.6Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.

【摘要】:ThisguideprovidesabroadperspectiveontechniquesthatcanbeusedbyenvironmentalmanagersforselectingVOCairmonitoringmethods.ItsummarizesvariousmethodsformeasurementofVOCinairderivedfromavarietyofsourcesandexperiencesandincorporatesthemintocondensedguidelines.ThisguideprovidesacommonbasisforselectingmethodsforVOCmeasurementaswelladiscussionofthelimitationsoftypicalmethods.Thisguideshouldbeusedduringtheplanningstagesofanairmonitoringprogramalongwithotherapplicableguidesandpractices(forexample,D1357)toselectASTMorotherappropriatemethods.1.1Thisguideprovidesassistanceintheselectionofactiveintegrativesamplingmethods,inwhichthevolatileorganicanalytesarecollectedfromairoveraperiodoftimebydrawingtheairintothesamplingdevice,withsubsequentrecoveryforanalysis.Whereavailable,specificASTMtestmethodsandpracticesarereferenced.1.2Guidanceisprovidedfortheselectionofactivesamplingmethodsbasedeitheroncollectionofanuntreatedairsample(wholeairsamples)orselectivesamplingusingsorbentconcentrationtechniquesthatselectivelyconcentratecomponentsinair.Advantagesanddisadvantagesofspecificcollectionvehiclesarepresented.1.3Thisguidedoesnotcovertheuseofcryogenicallycooledfieldsamplingdevicesusedinsomeautomatedanalysissystems.Detailedinstructionsforcryogenicrecoveryofcompoundscapturedaswholeairsamplesorthermallydesorbedfromsorbentsaretypicallycoveredinstandardmethodsforsampleanalysisandarebeyondthescopeofthisguide.1.4Boththermalandsolventdesorptiontechniquesforsamplerecoveryarediscussed.1.5Organiccompoundsareclassifiedonthebasisofvaporpressureasveryvolatile,volatile,semivolatileandnonvolatile.Physicalcharacteristicsofmanyvolatileorganiccompounds(VOCs)areprovidedtoaidinselectionofsamplingtechniquesforVOCmeasurement.Semivolatileandnonvolatileorganiccompoundsaredefinedintheguidetohelpguideusersavoidmisidentifyingcompoundsthatarenotcoveredinthisguide.1.6Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
