【摘要】:ThistestmethodcoversamicrobiologicaltestprocedurebasedupontheSalmonellamutagenesisassayofAmesetal(seealsoMaronetal).Itcanbeusedasascreeningtechniquetodetectthepresenceofpotentialdermalcarcinogensinvirginbaseoilsusedintheformulationofmetalworkingoils.Personswhoperformthistestshouldbewell-versedintheconductoftheAmestestandconversantwiththephysicalandchemicalpropertiesofpetroleumproducts.Thetestmethodisnotrecommendedasthesoletestingprocedureforoilswhichhaveviscositieslessthan18cSt(90SUS)at40C,orforformulatedmetalworkingfluids.ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareprovidedforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Sectionprovidesgeneralguidelinesforsafeconductofthistestmethod.
