【摘要】:Thecompatibilityofpackagingmaterialswithamedicaldeviceisarequirementofmanyregulatorybodies.Sincemostmedicaldevicesareusedorimplantedin,aroundoronthehumanbody,thesedevicesmustdonoharm.Therefore,thepackagingmaterialsthatcomeincontactwiththemedicaldevicemustalsobeevaluatedanddeterminedtobesafeforusewiththehumanbodyinthattheyhavenonegativeimpactonthephysical,chemicalorbiologicalpropertiesofthedevice..Thisevaluationmayincludebothastudyofrelevantexperiencewithandactualtestingofpackagingmaterials.Suchanevaluationmayresultintheconclusionthatnotestingisneededifthematerialhasademonstrablehistoryofsafeuseinthespecificrolethatisthesameasthatofthepackageunderdesign.Themedicaldevicemanufacturerdeterminestheneedforappropriatetesting,withconsiderationofthedevice/packageinteractions,ifany.Theresponsibilityofthepackagingsupplieristypicallylimitedtotheperformanceofcytotoxicitytesting.1.1Thisguideprovidesinformationtodeterminetheappropriatetestingforbiocompatibilityofpackagingmaterialsusedtocontainamedicaldevice.1.2Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesandtodeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.

【摘要】:Thispracticeprovidesforperiodictestingtocomparetherelativeperformanceofspecificcoatings,substrates,and/orpretreatmentsusedoncoil-coatedmetalforresistancetowetconditionsduringstorage.WhenperformedinsouthFlorida,thispracticegivesacceleratedcorrosionandblisteringresultsrelativetootherlocationswithinthecontinentalUnitedStates.Thispracticeallowscomparisonofdifferentcoatings,substrates,andpretreatmentswhentheyaretestedatthesametime.Theresultsmustbeconsideredrelativeanddonotindicateabsoluteperformance.Becausetheoutdoorenvironmentshowsyear-to-yearclimatological,seasonal,andgeographicvariation,theabsoluteamountofdegradationbasedoncorrosionandblisteringmayvary(seePracticeG7).Temperature,rain,andhumidityareimportantfactorsinwetstackcorrosion.Corrosionandblisteringwillacceleratewithincreasedtemperature.Thepreferredtestlocationissouthof27x00B0;NlatitudeinFlorida.Otherlocationsmaybeused,butdifferencesintemperatureandmoisturemustbeconsidered,andtheamountofcorrosionandblisteringareexpectedtovaryconsiderablywithclimate.TestsitesmusthavetheinstrumentationtomeasureandrecordambienttemperatureandrainfallasinPracticeG7.Thispracticeisnotmeanttosupportthefieldstorageofcoil-coatedmetalinanywayotherthanwhatisrecommendedbythemanufacturer.1.1Thisproceduredescribesthepracticefordeterminingrelativeperformanceofcoil-coatedmetalinanoutdoorwetstacktestingenvironment.1.2Thepurposeofthistestistoevaluaterelativewetstackcorrosionresistanceandblistering.Substrates,pretreatments,primers,topcoats,andbackersmaybeevaluated.1.3Thistestsimulatescoilorstackedbuildingpanelbundlestorageatajobsiteinwetoutdoorconditions.Theresultsfrompanelstestedduringthesametimeperiodmaybeusedtocompareproductsasanindicatorofactualfieldperformance.Environmentswithhighertemperatureandmoisturelevelsacceleratedegradation.1.4ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
